Muhammad SabirThe Emerging Leaders of Pakistan would like to congratulate 2012 ELP Fellow Muhammad Sabir for being selected for Acumen Fund’s 2015 class of Pakistan Fellows. Sabir was selected as one of just twenty individuals from around Pakistan, who have demonstrated initiative in leading a “unique project with large-scale social impact in Pakistan.” The Program serves as a platform for changemakers to join a larger global community, while providing the opportunity to develop leadership skills and advance personal social change projects.

Over the last two years, Sabir received two other prestigious fellowships: Swedish Institute’s 2013 Young Connectors of the Future Programme and the DO School Fellowship in New York City. Sabir recently launched “Slumabad,” a project that empowers slum dwellers through education, healthcare services and employment opportunities.

The Acumen Fellowship will serve to further contribute to Sabir’s growth and the expansion of his valuable initiative. Congratulations to Muhammad Sabir for his extraordinary accomplishments. We wish him continued success and perseverance in leading change in his community, and we look forward to sharing his ongoing successes and contributions to the betterment of Pakistan.
