The Emerging Leaders of Pakistan would like to congratulate 2012 ELP Fellow Shahid Rehmat for being selected for Acumen Fund’s inaugural class of Pakistan Fellows. Shahid was selected as one of just twenty individuals from around Pakistan, who have demonstrated initiative in leading a “unique project with large-scale social impact in Pakistan.” The Program serves as a platform for changemakers to join a larger global community, while providing the opportunity to develop leadership skills and advance personal social change projects. From the Acumen Fund website, we learn:

“The Pakistan Fellows Program begins in January 2013 and is structured like an ‘executive MBA’ where Fellows remain in their jobs while participating in the program. Over the course of the year, Fellows will attend four multiday seminars and two collaborative projects where they will work together to design and execute a regional trip and an innovation conference.“

Congratulations to Shahid Rehmat for this extraordinary accomplishment. We wish him continued success and perseverance in leading change in his community, and we look forward to sharing his ongoing successes and contributions to the betterment of Pakistan.
