Danish Ali Bhutto

As a Young Parliamentary Associate, Danish Ali Bhutto jumpstarted his career with the prestigious Improving Parliamentary Performance in Pakistan Project. The project offered an unprecedented opportunity to work closely with the Federal Parliament, sparking Danish’s passion for research, policy, legislation, and social welfare. Danish then transitioned to Program and Coordination Officer for the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus, a non-partisan forum of women parliamentarians. Determined to play a significant role, Danish works closely with parliamentarians, focusing particularly on gender issues including combating violence against women, early marriages, and violent extremism. He also prepares briefs and concept notes on different initiatives of the caucus, contributes to drafting reports, and provides assistance in organizing high-profile meetings and seminars on women’s political and socio-economic empowerment. Danish considers poor implementation of gender-sensitive laws as one of the key hurdles in combating violence against women. He aspires to be a progressive public policy expert in Pakistan.
