Sawai Mal


Sawai Mal is a humanitarian worker and minority rights activist based in interior Sindh.  Sawai heads the Minority Social Development Organization (MSDO), which strives to strengthen and empower Pakistan’s youth. He is also a founding member of the Marvi Institute of Research and Advocacy, which promotes a democratic and pluralistic Pakistan by highlighting minority rights. Belonging to a religious minority himself, Sawai understands that these communities are highly marginalized and often neglected in almost every sphere of life. Sawai is also associated with several community organizations, including Save the Children International, Action Against Hunger, Strengthening Participatory Organization, and HANDS. Currently, Sawai works with Community World Service Asia, an international humanitarian organization promoting development initiatives in Asia.
