Zulqarnain Jameel


Zulqarnain Jameel is a social entrepreneur and technology expert committed to the idea that every child deserves an education. Coming from a technical background as a software developer, Zulqarnain combined his technical capacity with his passion for education and founded the Tent School System in 2015. The Tent School provides education to children residing in the slums of Islamabad. By harnessing online tools and a collaborative learning pedagogy, the Tent School focuses on critical thinking and technical training, which are invaluable in an ever-changing economic environment. His mission is to equip disadvantaged Pakistani youth with both the practical skills to compete in Pakistan’s bourgeoning technology sector while also teaching the problem-solving techniques to ensure gainful employment in the future. Zulqarnain left a corporate job to pursue his passion for education, and his efforts spurred national (TechJuice’s Top 25 Young Entrepreneurs in Pakistan) and international (Ericsson Innovation Award) recognition.
